Paying Homage to Our Namesake
Did you know Rear Admiral Grace Hopper led the team that created the first computing languages in the 1940s and 50s? She even coined the word “bug” to describe a computer malfunction.
After retiring from the Navy at 79, Hopper returned to the classroom, where she taught and inspired students until her passing in 1992.
In 2016, Hopper was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her body is interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
Our syncing tool, Hopper, which allows you to move data between tools without code or configuration, pays homage to the great Admiral Hopper, one of the leaders in computing.
