Meet Katie, COO

What brought you to CTA?

I’ve spent my career in political data. Everywhere I worked and on every team I led, I found us facing the same problems and repeating the same work over and over. We were operating in a silo while others were doing the same things in their own silos. This was inefficient, supremely draining, and a sheer waste of individual, organizational, and ecosystem resources. I knew there could be a better way. When I learned CTA was forming to solve this very problem, I jumped at the chance to join the team.

In 5 words or less, what do you do at CTA? 

Connect teams, partners, strategy, & mission

What’s your proudest work accomplishment? 

My proudest work accomplishments are building a workplace where our team wants to work, cultivating an organization our partners want to collaborate with, and building products that deliver value to the movement every single day.

What’s something on your desk or your workspace that inspires you? 

So. Many. Frogs (Progs). My desk is covered in more than a dozen frog accessories I’ve been gifted by CTA in the past four years.

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? 

Cookies & Cream of any quality level – from the greatest of all time (Sebastian Joe’s Oreo) to a grocery store name brand – I’ll enjoy any of them.

Any hidden talents we should know about? 

I’m pretty good at mental math. Though I occasionally use this in my real job, more common utilizations include: keeping score at my local computer-less bowling alley, tallying points at our annual cribbage tournament, or forecasting who has the best odds to win the Women’s March Madness competition I host.
